Brad Pitt Reportedly Wants Selena Gomez To Star In The ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ Remake
Remaking films with a female cast are on trend (ahem, “Ghostbusters”), and “Ocean’s Eleven” is also getting an all-female cast remake that may star…Selena Gomez?
According to HollywoodLife, Brad Pitt, 52, has been talking to producers about the singer/actress, 23.
Gomez posted a photo of herself with Pitt following the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, so clearly some sort of conversation happened between them.
HollywoodLife claims, “He couldn’t stop gushing about how ‘hilarious’ and ‘quirky’ she is.” The insider revealed: “He thinks Selena would be a perfect fit for the Ocean’s Eleven female remake.”
Pitt is not directly involved in the reboot, in which Sandra Bullock is expected to play the lead character, Danny Ocean. However, he can use his influence to make suggestions.
The source added: “He’s not producing the film but has close ties with the film’s director Gary Ross.”
In addition, Pitt is close to George Clooney, who is involved in the reboot. So his input could be a little persuasive.
The 2001 film “Ocean’s Eleven” centered on Danny Ocean (Clooney) and his 11 accomplices, who plan to rob three Las Vegas casinos simultaneously.
Gomez, meanwhile, stretched her acting chops in the Disney series “The Wizards of Waverly Place” and has also starred in the films “Spring Breakers,” “Monte Carlo” and “Hotel Transylvania.”
