Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s ‘Creepy’ is Coming to the U.S.!
While I wait patiently for Arrow to release Kairo (Pulse) on Blu-ray, Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s latest genre offering is getting a U.S. release thanks to KimStim Films.
Kurosawa returns to the suspense/thriller genre with Creepy, the “supremely enthralling and thrilling adaptation” of Yutaka Maekawa’s mystery novel.
Screened to acclaim at The 2016 Berlin International film Festival, Creepy has a superb Japanese cast: Hidetoshi Nishijima (License to Live), Yuko Takeuchi (The Ring) and Teruyuki Kagawa (Tokyo Sonata) and will open Friday, October 21 in New York The Metrograph (7 Ludlow Street); in Los Angeles at The Laemmle Ahrya Fine Arts (8556 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills); and in San Francisco at The Roxie (3117 16th St. in Mission District) and platform wider (VOD) throughout November from KimStim Films.
