Shania Twain Says Her New Single Is About Taking the Bad With the Good
Shania Twain has officially announced her brand-new single. In a press release on Tuesday (April 25), the country star confirmed that “Life’s About to Get Good” will be released to country radio in June.
“I was at home, looking out at the ocean, and I said to myself, ‘Here I am stuck in this past of negativity, but it’s so beautiful out. I’m not in the mood to write a feeling-sorry-for-myself song,’” Twain recalls of the inspiration for “Life’s About to Get Good.” “You can’t have the good without the bad. And that’s what the song ended up being about.”
Twain says that the chorus of “Life’s About to Get Good’ is “very celebratory and very happy” (quote via the Press-Enterprise). She also notes that the song is “optimistic.”
“Life’s About to Get Good” will be the lead single from Twain’s first new album in 15 years, which, the press release confirms, is due out in September. The release also confirms that Twain will debut her new single during her headlining set at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival on Saturday night (April 29).
