TV There Will Be a New “Roseanne” Halloween Special in Revival’s Second Season
The real Roseanne Barr’s political and personal viewpoints aside, I’m very happy that “Roseanne” is back on television, with this past Tuesday night’s first two episodes of the new revival season managing to feel like not a day had really gone by since the show was last on the air. Like so much time had passed, but somehow none at all.
And how good is it to see John Goodman back on TV?!
Unfortunately, there won’t be a Halloween episode in the current tenth season, but the good news is that “Roseanne” was immediately renewed for an eleventh season when ABC saw the numbers for the big premiere. Over 18 million people tuned in to see what the Conners are up to in 2018; that number has since jumped to 25+ million.
The even better news? Roseanne herself took to Twitter this past Friday, in the wake of the renewal news, to say that another season means a new Halloween episode!
She tweeted, “HEY! THIS MEANS WE GET TO DO A HALLOWEEN SHOW!!! YAY!!!!!”
Beginning with Season 2, the Conner family went big with their annual celebration of Halloween, a tradition that continued throughout the show’s entire run. From Season 2 straight through Season 9, a total of EIGHT Halloween episodes aired on ABC.
