‘Victor Crowley’ Heads Home in 2018!
One of this year’s coolest treats was the reveal that Adam Green had shot the fourth Hatchet installment, titled Victor Crowley, in secret, which he subsequently took on tour for special one-night screenings from August into November. But when can the rest of us finally watch Crowley’s gory return to the screen?!
Via distributor Dark Sky Films over on Twitter earlier today, Victor Crowley will officially arrive in 2018! Release info and poster art, they say, is coming real soon.
Set a decade after the events of the first three films, Victor Crowley reunites Kane Hodder and Parry Shen for an all-new journey into the blood-drenched bayou.
Kalyn reviewed the film back in August, calling it “a straight slasher that feels more like the original [Hatchet] in tone and execution.”
“In 2007, forty-nine people were brutally torn to pieces in Louisiana’s Honey Island Swamp. Over the past decade, lone survivor Andrew Yong’s claims that local legend Victor Crowley was responsible for the horrific massacre have been met with great controversy, but when a twist of fate puts him back at the scene of the tragedy, Crowley is mistakenly resurrected and Yong must face the bloodthirsty ghost from his past.”
Laura Ortiz, Felissa Rose, Dave Sheridan and Brian Quinn also star.
