FINDING GOD

 Welcome my friends, I’m back, with AEE finally put to bed, {Thank God} what’s happening? www.lukeisback.com posted a story about Wankus “finding” God. Now anyone who knows Wankus will tell you he is a good guy, and he seems to be the latest in a long string of people from this Industry who’ve found God. Did you know God was missing? Was he kidnapped? Was there a ransom demand? Which radical organization claimed responsibility?  I didn’t see anything Twitter, or http://www.Lukeisback.com  or even http://www.Mikesouth.com, so what gives? Should I check on Google?

     I’m not trying to make fun of anyone or their religious beliefs, nor am I attacking {or endorsing} any Individuals {or organizations} that claim to help or “save” someone. Anyone who helps someone should be applauded; in this day and economy any help people can get is really appreciated.

      But saving them? From what?  Choices they’ve made in their lives? {Last time I checked, no one put a gun to someone’s head and forced them to do anything, like a well known actress said many years ago.} Anyone can decide change is needed {or they’d like to pursue a different path with their lives, } that’s an individual’s right, once again, no one put a gun to their head and forced the change. 

     Why do individuals decide to make these changes? Financial? Moral? Ethics? A combination of any of the above? Possibly? But where does “Finding” God fit into that equation? Which God? What God were you following before you decided to find this God? How did you come to follow that God apposed to the God you just found? How did you find this God? How can you be sure this is THE GOD for you? Has this God given you some guarantee that your life will be completely changed? To what? Is that what you want? I mean really want? Do you know what you want? Will you know when it arrives?

     Finding something implies it was missing, when did you first notice God was missing? Which God? The God of Pleasure? The God of Success? The God of Failure? The God of Thunder? The God of Happiness? The God of Sorrow? The God of Illegal Substance?  Did this come to you in a dream? Or was the electricity turned off or were you kicked out of your apartment?

     As I said earlier, I’m not making fun of or attempting to disrespect anyone’s religious beliefs, but the “Finding God” answer {or redemption} depending how you want to look at it seems to be a convenient  way of saying you want to make a change in your life, and by embracing God,{which ever God that may be}, you are a better person, or you are no longer doing drugs, or what ever the situation your running from is. Did God take the needle out of your hands? Did he turn the electricity back on? Put a roof over your head?

Not last time I checked. You did, you got a job and paid for that stuff, like everyone else. Spirituality is a beautiful thing, it can inspire you, just like any God, but You have to WANT to do something, {even “find God”} before it happens in anyone’s life.

     And for those who claim to help people, what happens if they {the people you claimed to have saved} have a relapse? What happens if they fall into something you determine to be worse then what you claim to have saved them from in the first place? And while you are busy playing Mother Teresa against the Evil Empire that you call the Adult Industry,  who’s keeping an eye on you? And, at what point did these people’s opinions become so relevant anyway?

    Wankus {and those before him} are decent people and they deserve what ever makes them Happy, in what ever form that might be, can we at least let them “find” out for themselves? God {?} willing, they’ll find something {?} that fulfils them more then the last God did, such a find is invaluable, to everyone.
