Zoe Lister-Jones Writing and Directing ‘The Craft’ Reboot for Blumhouse and Columbia Pictures
As we told you last night, Blumhouse and Columbia Pictures are remaking 1996’s The Craft, and we’ve learned today that Zoe Lister-Jones will be writing and directing the fresh take.
Lister-Jones recently wrote and directed the comedy Band Aid, and as an actress she has starred in “Law & Order,” State of Play, “Delocated,” “New Girl” and “Life in Pieces.”
We learned three years ago that Honeymoon director Leigh Janiak was rebooting the ’96 film, and then Daniel Casey had been tapped to rewrite a script penned by Janiak and Phil Graziadei. It looks like the project is being freshly retooled with Lister-Jones writing a new script.
Andrew Fleming directed The Craft, which starred Robin Tunney as a teenage girl who befriends a group of budding witches played by Neve Campbell, Fairuza Balk and Rachel True.
