NEW EP SONGS TO KEEP YOU WARM OUT NOW
Acclaimed band Flatland Cavalry will return to the road this spring with a nationwide headline tour including stops at Houston’s 713 Music Hall, Lexington’s Manchester Music Hall, New York’s Gramercy Theatre, Alexandria’s The Birchmere, Charlottesville’s Jefferson Theater, Chicago’s Joe’s on Weed St, Portland’s Revolution Hall, Salt Lake City’s The Depot, Oklahoma City’s The Criterion, Orlando’s House of Blues and Cambridge’s The Sinclair among many others. Tickets for the tour go on-sale this Friday, January 20 at 10:00am CT.
In addition to the upcoming headline dates, Flatland Cavalry will also join Luke Combs’ World Tour for sixteen sold-out stadium shows later this year. See below for complete tour itinerary.
The upcoming performances add to a landmark year for the band, who released their acclaimed new EP, Songs to Keep You Warm, this past fall (stream/purchase here). Produced by Bruce Robison and recorded at The Bunker in Lockhart, TX, the EP consists of six tracks including “Mountain Song,” which was recently featured in Paramount Network’s hit show, “Yellowstone.”
Critical acclaim for Songs to Keep You Warm:
“the kind of raw, no-nonsense country that should appeal to people whose taste in country veers towards Willie Nelson, John Prine, and Townes Van Zandt. There’s nothing too fancy or too pop about it, but it’s not retro either. It’s just great songwriting”—Brooklyn Vegan
“literary playfulness”—PopMatters
Songs to Keep You Warm has coziness and community to share”—The Boot
“stunning…the whole project is fantastic”—Whiskey Riff
“You can listen to this album chronologically or you can pick it up with any song. They all stand alone, bringing with them serenity, longing, understanding and – yes – even warmth”
Americana Highways
“Lovely harmonies are layered on top of raw, honest lyrics to great effect”
Entertainment Focus
“an EP that everyone should take notice of”—The Nash News
“continues to cement themselves as one of the best to do it in the Texas scene with yet another cohesive, satisfying project”—Country Central
“uncommonly beautiful…a gift for creating detailed soundscapes that not only set a scene, but allow the listener to empathize with the emotions expressed through them as well”
The Alternate Root
“Steady, optimistic, and joyful, these six tracks do indeed keep you warm. Flatland Cavalry show that nothing can brighten a frosty winter day better than a country song”

Songs to Keep You Warm is the band’s first new music since the release of their acclaimed 2021 album, Welcome to Countryland. Of the record, The Wall Street Journal praised, “a clear musical point of view, original melodies, mature confidence in portraying romantic matters, and increasingly fresh, distinctive lyrics…a straightforward, upbeat electrified country-rock band,” while Rolling Stone declared, “Flatland Cavalry are promising to make days a little brighter wherever they go.”
Since the release, the band has continued to receive widespread attention, earning two #1 singles at Texas Country Radio (“Gettin’ By” and “A Cowboy Knows How”) and garnering over 290 million streams across platforms to date. In addition to numerous sold-out headline shows, they’ve also joined artists such as Luke Combs, Turnpike Troubadours, Randy Rogers Band, Midland and Parker McCollum on the road.
