SATAN released their sixth full length album, Earth Infernal, via Metal Blade last April. Earth Infernal is a product of the times that birthed it and could only be the work of SATAN. Having churned out cutting edge heavy metal throughout the ‘80s – and reunited in 2011 – the record maintains the high standard of musicianship the band set long ago and it is perhaps their timeliest release. “For two years, the world has been preoccupied with politics and pandemics and while we were all looking the other way our planet has continued to get hotter,” said guitarist Russ Tippins upon the record’s release. “Our Earth is now infernally hot. Almost irreversibly so. We are on a one-way trip to Hell and dragging our children along with us. Yes, SATAN has something to say about global warming.” The album entered the German Charts at position #12, the highest chart entry ever for the band.

“…razor-sharp, intelligent, and passionate heavy metal of the highest order that demands hungry ears.” – Last Rites
“Earth Infernal picks up where Cruel Magic left off, giving you one finely crafted NWOBHM barnburner after another loaded with wild riffs and fist-pumping harmonies… the best metal I’ve heard thus far in 2022.” – Angry Metal Guy
“What is it that drives SATAN to keep this inspired font a-flowing this deep into their catalog? Maybe it’s that the recent batch of Xerox-of-a-Xerox retro bands are losing the spark, and the sagely skeletal scions of the scene feel a need to show the whippersnappers there’s more to heavy metal than gallops and harmonizing in thirds… SATAN claps mere imitators in cold iron, whisking them to the gallows with a fall of the gavel.” – Toilet Ov Hell
