Sherman Wayze: Hello, Victoria and Logan. Thank you for joining us today. Victoria, I understand you recently won ASN Female Porn Star of the Year. Congratulations.
Victoria Peaks: Thank you. I’m honored to have received that award.
Sherman Wayze: Victoria, tell us about winning the ASN Performer of the Year award. Were you surprised?
Victoria Peaks: I was very surprised when they called my name. I was honored to make it to the top 10, and then the top 5, but I never thought I would win. When they announced my name, I was in shock.
Sherman Wayze: Did you have that whole experience of everything moving in slow motion as you went to accept the award?
Victoria Peaks: Yes, it was exactly like that, but then my boob popped out!
Logan Drake: I had to tell her to put her boob back in.
Victoria Peaks: They’re always popping out.
Sherman Wayze: You both just finished a shoot. People often wonder, what do adult performers do when they’re done filming? Do you go home and have more sex?
Victoria Peaks: Actually, we went to have food.
Logan Drake: Yes, we went to a diner. After you have sex, you’re hungry.
Sherman Wayze: Victoria, is this your first time shooting with Logan?
Victoria Peaks: No, I’ve shot with him many times. I’m not really sure how many at this point.
Sherman Wayze: What brings you back to work with Logan?
Victoria Peaks: He’s a great producer. I love his work, and he’s very respectable. We have a lot of fun together. The real question is, why does he keep bringing me back?
Logan Drake: Because she decided she’s my work wife.
Sherman Wayze: Logan, when you bring back someone like Victoria so many times, do you purposely try to change the scene in a different direction?
Logan Drake: Actually, we often have a continuing storyline. Victoria has played my wife in many scenes now. We’ve developed an ongoing saga.
Victoria Peaks: I like to catch him cheating on me, and then it ends up being a naughty threesome.
Sherman Wayze: After shooting together so many times, do you find the thrill less exciting than the first time?
Logan Drake: Not at all. We’ve probably shot at least 30 scenes together, and it doesn’t get boring.
Sherman Wayze: Logan, as a popular producer and director in New Jersey, what do you look for when casting new performers?
Logan Drake: I look for personality more than anything else. I want someone who’s shooting because they really want to and are enjoying it. That’s the type of person I’ll bring back over and over.
Sherman Wayze: Tell us about your brand.
Logan Drake: It’s pretty inclusive, but I do have limits in terms of types of models that fit my brand. Everyone has a certain fan base looking for certain types of performers.
Sherman Wayze: How did you get started in the industry?
Logan Drake: I go all the way back to 1997 when there wasn’t much internet porn. I kind of made it up as I went along and evolved with technology and trends. Now I focus on quirky scenarios and silly role-play.
Sherman Wayze: How has your product evolved from 1997 to now?
Logan Drake: Both technically and content-wise. Early videos were tiny compared to today’s 4K productions. As I grew as an artist, I started incorporating more colorful costumes and scenarios, like the whole pantyhose thing.
Sherman Wayze: Are you involved in the entire production process?
Logan Drake: Yes, I’m pretty much a one-man band. I handle everything from setup to editing, uploading, and social media management.
Sherman Wayze: Victoria, what makes a good scene for you?
Victoria Peaks: Energy, 100 percent. You can have the best equipment and setup, but if the chemistry isn’t there, it won’t be a good scene. Some of my top-selling scenes are when we’re just having fun and feeding off each other’s energy.
Logan Drake: I agree completely. I’d rather have someone who’s there because they want to be and are having fun. It shows on camera.
Sherman Wayze: Logan, do you focus more on technical aspects or on capturing the best angles of the performers?
Logan Drake: I tend to stick to a set formula, especially when shooting in my basement studio. I know exactly where to put the lights and use the same positions and angles. This allows me to focus on the performers and scenarios.
Sherman Wayze: Do your fans prefer raw footage or edited content?
Logan Drake: I do edit everything, but the way I shoot requires very little editing. I make it look polished without losing that homemade feel.
Sherman Wayze: Can you describe a typical production day?
Logan Drake: It starts with taking care of member updates and social media. Then I do pre-shoot setup, cleaning, and laying out props and wardrobe. The shoot typically takes about four hours, followed by a meal and relaxation with the performers. After that, it’s post-cleanup, content backup, and preparing for the next day.
Sherman Wayze: Is it much harder working with two women than one?
Logan Drake: It depends on the two performers. If their personalities match and they’re both experienced, like Victoria and Allison tonight, it’s easy.
Sherman Wayze: Do you typically shoot hardcore or softcore content?
Logan Drake: Everything I shoot involves penetration.
Sherman Wayze: Do you use a cameraman or shoot POV?
Logan Drake: I do a lot of POV, but occasionally I’ll have someone help with camera work, like Victoria’s husband did tonight.
Sherman Wayze: How long does a typical sex scene last?
Logan Drake: Usually about 20 minutes of usable footage.
Sherman Wayze: Victoria, where are you originally from?
Victoria Peaks: Originally from Tennessee, but I grew up in Kentucky.
Sherman Wayze: Did you have a favorite subject in school?
Victoria Peaks: Math.
Sherman Wayze: Did you have any idea what you wanted to do with your life when you were younger?
Victoria Peaks: I wanted to be a meteorologist. I was always fascinated by storms and tornadoes.
Sherman Wayze: What were you like in high school?
Victoria Peaks: I was a bit of everything. I was head cheerleader and on the track team, but I was also a big nerd. I was in calculus class and loved math. I was also in choir and band. I was a social butterfly who got along with everyone.
Sherman Wayze: Were you popular with boys?
Victoria Peaks: Not really. I wasn’t the prettiest one, in my eyes. I had a couple of boyfriends, but I was more often the best friend than the girlfriend.
Sherman Wayze: Did you experience bullying in school?
Victoria Peaks: Yes, I was bullied a lot, especially in grade school. I had issues with my legs that required braces, and I was much taller than everyone else. I wore glasses and wasn’t from a rich family, so I often had hand-me-downs.
Sherman Wayze: Do you remember the first time you saw adult content?
Victoria Peaks: Yes, it was Playboy magazine. I loved it and was a VIP member for years. I still have boxes of old Playboy magazines at home.
Sherman Wayze: Did you ever think you could be in Playboy when you looked at those magazines?
Victoria Peaks: I would dream about being the most beautiful girl in a centerfold or on the cover, but I never thought I was pretty enough to do it.
Sherman Wayze: What did you do after high school?
Victoria Peaks: I did the very vanilla thing I was told to do. I went to college, got two degrees, found a husband, got married, had children, and started a career.
Sherman Wayze: How did you enter the adult entertainment industry?
Victoria Peaks: I actually became a high school teacher for 10 years. But I was miserable and felt unappreciated. After quitting teaching, I struggled to find work in my fields due to COVID. My husband asked what I always wanted to do but never thought I could, and that led me to consider adult entertainment.
Sherman Wayze: When you started creating adult material, was it for attention or money?
Victoria Peaks: I did it for fun. The attention is still surreal to me. I don’t do it for fame or money, although those are nice. I do it because I enjoy it and love trying new things.
Sherman Wayze: Logan, what’s the reality of being a male performer versus what people think it is?
Logan Drake: Many fans think I have sex all day and keep women chained up in my basement. The reality is I have almost no sex life off camera. I’m mostly sitting alone in my office all day with my dog.
Sherman Wayze: Victoria, what misconceptions do people have about your work?
Victoria Peaks: Some people think I’m a prostitute, while others assume I want to have sex with anyone who approaches me. The biggest misconception is that I’m having sex all the time. In reality, 90% of this business is in front of a computer, and only 10% is actually having sex.
Sherman Wayze: Do you know if any of your former teachers or classmates have subscribed to your platforms?
Victoria Peaks: Yes, I do know some have. I’ve had former students (who are now adults) and colleagues subscribe. It can be a bit awkward, but I try to handle it professionally.
Sherman Wayze: What are your social media handles?
Victoria Peaks: On Twitter, I’m @VictoriaPeaks, and on Instagram, I’m @Victoria.Peaks.
Logan Drake: I’m @TheLoganDrake or @ChickPass on Twitter, and @ChickPassAmateurs on Instagram.
Sherman Wayze: Do your social media followers influence what you shoot?
Victoria Peaks: Not directly, but I sometimes post polls asking fans what they’d like to see in upcoming shoots.
Logan Drake: I get a lot of requests too. Some are good ideas, while others are very specific fetishes that I probably won’t cater to.
Sherman Wayze: Any upcoming projects you’d like to mention?
Logan Drake: We’ve got Exxxotica New Jersey coming up, where we’ll be working a joint booth together.
Victoria Peaks: I’ll be at Exxxotica in the ChickPass booth in Jersey and at Mickey Lynn’s booth in D.C. I’m also working with ASN on some more cinematic porn projects, think soap opera with sex. I’m also working on “The Slutty Professor,” a feature film I wrote myself.
Sherman Wayze: Is there a dream performer you’d like to work with?
Victoria Peaks: For me, it’s Isaiah Maxwell and Annabelle Peaks. I’ve admired both of them since before I entered the industry.
Logan Drake: I don’t really have a dream collab in the industry, but if we’re counting celebrities outside of porn, then definitely.
Sherman Wayze: Any final words for your fans?
Victoria Peaks: I can’t thank them enough. Without them, I couldn’t be here doing what I love. I’m so humbled by their support, and I owe everything to my fans.
Logan Drake: I echo Victoria’s sentiments. I’m appreciative of all the fans who are interested in what I’m doing. Their support motivates me to work harder and produce better content as a way of saying thank you.
Sherman Wayze: Thank you both for your time and insights into the industry.
