Marica Hase added two more honors to her growing awards list, taking home ‘Best VR’ and ‘Quirkiest Accomplishment’ at Bazowie Con in Las Vegas.

Hase earned ‘Best VR’ for “The King of Fighters: Mai Shiranui,” a VR Conk release starring Hase as the fan-favorite fighting game character, as well as ‘Quirkiest Accomplishment’ for her ongoing collaboration with Buusan, her beloved pig plush companion.
The recognition is a natural fit for Hase, who has long embraced cosplay, fantasy-driven projects and the playful Buusan content fans have come to love. With the Bazowie Awards spotlighting creativity, fandom and community response, Hase’s latest wins also continue a six-year streak of Bazowie recognition, reflecting the way fans keep connecting with both her performance work and the sweet, funny pieces of her personality she shares off camera.
“I am so happy and grateful to win two Bazowie Awards this year,” said Hase. “‘Best VR’ means so much because I love bringing cosplay and fantasy characters to life, and winning with Buusan makes my heart so happy because he has become part of my world with the fans. To be recognized by Bazowie for six years in a row is really special to me because these awards celebrate creativity, fun and individuality. And I sewed my dress myself!”

ABOUT MARICA HASE:
Marica Hase is a Japanese-born international performer, model and media personality whose career spans Japan, the United States, Europe and Asia. After beginning in Japanese television, film and magazine modeling, Hase transitioned into adult entertainment and built a rare cross-market career, later becoming the only Japanese performer to be named a Penthouse Pet in the United States.
Hase first gained major attention after winning the SOD Create Cinderella Audition, a high-profile talent search from one of Japan’s leading production companies, which led to her debut as an exclusive performer while she continued working in mainstream media. She later became an exclusive performer for EROTICA before expanding her career internationally, earning industry awards, live event appearances, voice work and Hall of Fame recognition along the way.
After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019, Hase took an extended hiatus to focus on treatment, including a double mastectomy and lymph node removal in 2022, before returning to adult entertainment and Japanese television. In early 2025, she faced a second cancer diagnosis with cervical cancer, later overcoming it and returning to filming.
Outside of her professional work, Hase is active in cancer awareness and animal rescue advocacy, while also sharing her off-camera personality through daily social media vlogs featuring Buusan, her beloved pig plush character who has become a fan favorite in his own right.
