SAN FRANCISCO — Iris Leon and Jase Leon have teamed with writer-director Peter Hooke for Unforgiving Minutes, the latest installment in Hooke’s Hookeups series and a project that grew from an idea by Iris and Jase.
Iris described the production as a departure from the pair’s usual work and praised Hooke’s approach: “This scene was so much fun to shoot, it’s nothing like anything Jase or I have shot before. It turned out so beautiful; Peter is incredibly talented!”
The story places Iris in the middle of a secret that comes to the surface after boyfriend Jase invites his friend Peter over for game night. Jase already suspects something has been happening behind his back, turning an apparently innocent evening among old friends into an unexpected confrontation and twist.
Jase said the different creative approach pushed him to think beyond familiar production patterns: “The process of filming something beyond what we typically do was an exciting and fun, motivating me to look beyond the norm of how Iris and I, as well as most of the industry, create and film scenes.” He added, “Anything can be art when you put the intention and thought into it!”
Built around comedy, suspense and charged chemistry, Unforgiving Minutes explores the consequences of keeping secrets and the surprises that can follow when the people involved discover they may have more in common than expected.
Hooke said the concept immediately opened up story possibilities. “Iris and Jase were such a delight to work with! As soon as they pitched the idea, the story just started to pour out of me — I was so glad they were down for a taboo idea with a silly twist! I think a sequel may be in order,” he shared.
The scene is now streaming on PeterHooke.com. Hooke is also self-booking for external studios and booking talent for his own studio, while fans can follow Iris x Jase and Peter Hooke on X.
