BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA — Rogue Studio is the subject of a WIRED feature examining the Beverly Hills company’s ambition to bring sophisticated generative-image and video tools to adult-oriented creators.
Written by Jason Parham, “This R-Rated Film Studio Wants to Be the HBO of AI” explores the company’s efforts to narrow the quality gap between mainstream generative AI and less-restricted creative platforms.
Rogue 1.0 provides adult-oriented video generation alongside access to mainstream-safe models including NanoBanana, Seedance and Kling, allowing users to develop characters and cinematic projects across tools in one platform.
Subscriptions are listed at $29 to $299, and the company offers additional creator, studio and business services.
“We’re so used to uncensored meaning you get a fraction of the quality. Right now too much of the art form is being lost,” cofounder Mr. Rogue told WIRED. He also said, “We want to do what HBO did for television.”
According to the release, WIRED verified that the two cofounders have film-producing backgrounds associated with movies that generated more than $2 billion in combined box office.
Rogue Studio says it employs three layers of human moderation intended to block prohibited deepfakes, child sexual abuse material, unauthorized depictions of public figures and other abusive content while preserving privacy and creative freedom.
Operated by Fangenie LLC and launched worldwide July 1, 2026, Rogue Studio offers 4K image generation, video with native audio, editing, character references, frame controls, multi-shot motion, upscaling and API access.
The WIRED profile positions the platform’s creative ambitions and safety practices within a growing debate over the boundaries of AI-assisted filmmaking.
