Sapphire’s Earplay Welcomes Nadia White for a Candid Industry Conversation -

NEW YORK — Sex-positive podcast Sapphire’s Earplay welcomes adult-industry veteran Nadia White for a candid discussion about porn, gatekeeping, mental health and the boundaries performers need in their lives away from the camera.

Drawing on more than two decades of experience, White addresses who gets welcomed into the business and why access to mental-health support matters. The conversation also examines the pressure created by social media, fan expectations, stigma and the demands of working independently.

The episode pushes past the familiar public image of adult entertainment to consider the emotional connection and community that can exist within the work. Humor remains part of the exchange, but the discussion stays focused on the realities performers manage beyond what audiences see on screen.

“Your favorite model can’t be available twenty-four hours a day,” White says in the conversation, underscoring the importance of recognizing performers as people with lives and needs beyond their work.

The Nadia White episode of Sapphire’s Earplay is available through YouTube, Apple Podcasts and major podcast platforms.

White began performing in 2006 and has spent 20 years building a recognizable brand through most major domestic companies, international shoots and conventions. Their career has brought award wins and nominations, and in 2020 they moved behind the camera to produce through their own company while continuing to perform in high-energy and ground-breaking scenes.

Their work also reaches mainstream acting, professional wrestling, music, podcasting, YouTube, burlesque and competitive eating. White uses their platform to advocate for mental health, LGBTQ women and sex workers’ rights, while host Mehgan Sapphire has built Sapphire’s Earplay into a global program with more than 30,000 streams since launching it in 2009, placing the show in the top two percent of podcasts.
