afterglow proudly announces the addition of popular Australian actress Caitlin Stasey to its company ranks as a writer-director for short films.
The just-launched sex-positive adult site brought in Stasey – who shot to fame on favorite Aussie TV shows such as Reign and Please Like Me and now stars in Ed Burns’ Epix series Bridge and Tunnel – to artfully showcase her burgeoning talents as a director in original titles such as U Up? and Lip Service.
“Caitlin’s a fabulous narrative director, and her involvement brings the high-quality, cinematic Hollywood experience we strive for at afterglow,” said company founder and CEO Lilly Sparks. “We’re thrilled to be working with her in reducing the shame and stigma around sex and sex work.”
Stasey began her journey with afterglow by way of her good friend, intimacy coordinator and afterglow’s Head of Production Allie Oops, and she currently has several projects in the pipeline. Allie met Stasey while working as an intimacy coordinator and they found a common love for sex positivtiy. In addition to U Up? and Lip Service – the latter recently screened at Dan Savage’s HUMP! Festival – she is prepping the release of three new films that beautifully showcase the exquisite spectrum of sexuality among people.
“Porn sets tend to be a hell of a lot more inclusive than traditional film sets,” Stasey told the New York Times earlier this week. “There’s also a lot more conversations surrounding consent, respect and on-set conduct.”
Membership to the afterglow adult network, an empowering community of informative news and opinion articles, discussions and helpful resources to openly engage and explore a unique array of intimate desires, starts at only $10 a month. Step into your pleasure universe at xoafterglow.com.
