| Austin Meade, who is a little bit country, a little bit rock, and a whole lotta heart, is celebrating the endless summer with his new video for “Varsity Type.” The singer/songwriter/guitarist has just released the hilarious visual. Watch the tongue-in-cheek clip, which features a poolside party and plenty of red Solo cups, here.
“‘Varsity Type’ is the story of a black sheep trying to hang with the cool kids,” Meade explains. “It’s how I felt growing up — and still do today sometimes. There’s a lot to take in at parties and shows. It’s easy to get lost in my head and this song is admitting where some of those emotions come from.”
He continues, “I wrote most of the new music with a video in mind from the start. ‘Varsity Type’ is an introduction to some of the characters that you will see in the future and hear about on the record.”
As mentioned, this video is the first in a planned trilogy.
