ALL DOGS GO TO HEAVEN EPOUT NOW VIA INTERSCOPE
“On the EP, which is laden with bluesy guitar arrangements and overcast hip-hop beats, he plays the beleaguered protagonist of his own teen-age dramas, conveying small-time conflicts in anguished, cinematic proportions…He expresses his sense of betrayal with such intensity and charm that it feels impossible not to take his side…all dogs go to heaven showcases a startlingly well-formed sound…”

August 11, 2021—16-year-old superstar glaive shares the video for the title track of his second EP all dogs go to heaven today; watch/share HERE. Directed by Ramez Silyan (Everybody’s Everything), the video was shot using VistaVision – the film format used to achieve the special effect sequences in the first Star Wars movies.
“‘all dogs go to heaven’” might be my favorite video that I’ve directed,” says Silyan, who cites Carlos Reygadas’ 2012 film “Post Tenebras Lux” as his inspiration. “It’s simple, a visual poem about losing a best friend, and remembering the times spent with them. The video was shot over the course of three days, and nearly all of it during sunset or dusk sans the interior shots in the opening. Thanks to glaive for trusting me and the small but amazing crew and thank you for watching.”
Three singles preceded the EP’s release: “bastard,” “i wanna slam my head against the wall” and “detest me.”
