DESMADRE sign to Flatspot Records, share music video for “West Coast Story” ft. Alpha & Omega

Upcoming tour with Comeback Kid + Desmadre World this weekend

Prominent hardcore label Flatspot Records (Speed, Zulu, End It, Jivebomb) welcome Los Angeles hardcore band DESMADRE as the latest signing to its noteworthy roster. Formed in 2021, DESMADRE was born in Los Angeles and combine the cultural overlap of LA with the band member’s Latin American roots. The band plays a chaotic, gritty, metallic and destructive type of music, pulling influences from Sepultura, Slipknot, Death Threat, and Terror.

On signing to Flatspot Records, vocalist Carlos Moreno states:

“Since I was a kid I dreamt about telling stories from my perspective, now I’ve been given the chance to do it at a global scale. I’ve been given the tools to pass down these stories to my kids and future generations.” Guitarist Chucky Martinez adds: “It’s always been a dream of mine to start a band and get signed to a sick label. Now that dream is fulfilled thanks to Flatspot Records.”

To mark the signing, the band have shared a music video for single “West Coast Story” featuring Alpha & Omega. The clip was directed by famed director and photographer Estevan Oriol in conjunction with his clothing line in collaboration with Joker Brand. Oriol is known for his music video work with Cypress Hill, Blink 182, and Eminem, as well as his feature documentary LA Originals alongside tattoo artist Mister Cartoon. The “West Coast Story” video is a high-energy saga serving as introduction to DESMADRE’s world and can be watched HERE.

On working with Estevan, Moreno shares:

“West Coast Story is DESMADRE, if you’re from here then you know. If you aren’t from here, you’re about to find out what we’re all about, bienvenidos al desmadre. Having the opportunity to work with a legend like Estevan has been a life changing experience, the same dude whose photography and art shaped the west coast is helping shape the desmadre we are creating. It is such a crazy and humbling experience. Being a part of his portfolio, amongst some of the greatest artist, some of which I grew up listening to and admiring. It’s still mind blowing to me. I am beyond grateful for the experience and the knowledge he has provided us with.”

DESMADRE will host free show and pop-up DESMADRE WORLD in Long Beach, CA this Saturday, February 22nd at Quesera. The band will then hit the road starting February 27th before joining up with Comeback Kid on March 4th for a two week run. Dates and more info below.
