DIPLO AND MAU P UNVEIL “RECEIPTS” FEATURING GUNNA

Today, Diplo and international house sensation Mau P unveil a collaborative new single, “Receipts,” featuring acclaimed rapper Gunna—listen HERE. The genre-defying track harnesses the essence of each artist’s individual style, delivering a new sound uniquely in a category of its own.

The result of several sessions preparing for their b2b set at Coachella’s new dance music stage Quasar in April of this year, “Receipts” signaled the onset of an authentic personal and creative partnership for Diplo and Mau P. The pair first unleashed the track during the four-hour performance, marking not only Mau P’s Coachella debut and the duo’s first b2b but also the first time the collaborators met in person. The track has since become a fixture in both artists’ individual sets around the world.

“‘Receipts’ came to life as Wes and I were preparing for our b2b Coachella set which was also my debut performance at the festival,” Mau P says. “We had been talking for hours about music and our various influences, after which Wes asked me the obvious question – ‘Should we try to create a song together that we can play at Coachella?’ He had recently done a session with Gunna and gave me an acapella to mess around with. One night during Miami Music Week, I came home from a show feeling pretty hyped up, opened my laptop and landed on the first version of this track. From there, Wes and I went back and forth to nail it, and eventually premiered ‘Receipts’ at Coachella.”

Over the course of a 20-year career that began with his now-legendary Philly club night Hollertronix, Diplo has collaborated with the world’s biggest stars and toured the world over. Born in Mississippi and raised in Florida, he and his era-defining labels Mad Decent and Higher Ground continue to champion genres and artists from around the world, and further ventures include a publishing company and various book, film and TV projects. The now thirteen-time Grammy nominee is also a member of the iconic Major Lazer, one third of LSD—the psychedelic supergroup with Sia and Labrinth whose debut album has been streamed over 3 billion times—and half of Silk City with Mark Ronson—whose Platinum-certified, Grammy-winning “Electricity” with Dua Lipa topped charts worldwide. His latest releases include a string of well-received Higher Ground singles, last year’s Diplo Present Thomas Wesley: Chapter 2—Swamp Savant, his second album as country persona Thomas Wesley, and 2022’s Diplo, his first full length album of electronic music in 18 years.

“Drugs From Amsterdam” originator Mau P has indisputably left his mark on the dance music scene since his debut single was released in 2022. The following year, he sold out his first North American tour and released chart-topping hits like “Gimme That Bounce” and “Your Mind Is Dirty” and performed at some of the most highly acclaimed events and venues in the world including Tomorrowland, Hï Ibiza, Amsterdam Dance Event and EDC Las Vegas. He continues to fire on all cylinders in 2024, releasing his first vocal track “On Again” with legendary producer Mike Dean and launching Baddest Behaviour, a new pop-up event series that transforms special venues around the world into immersive celebrations of community, high-energy music and mischief-infused fun.

Gunna is a Georgia-based rapper and singer and one of the leading artists signed to Young Thug’s YSL Imprint. He has released several critically acclaimed projects including Drip or Drown 2, WUNNA, Slime Language 2, DS4EVER, a Gift & a Curse and One of Wun, all of which either topped or nearly topped the Billboard 200, boosted by hit singles that have garnered billions of streams overall such as “Drip Too Hard,” “Too Easy” and “fukumean.”
