As independent record label Disorder Recordings plans to celebrate its tenth year in existence in 2022, new signings, plans of expansion, and more are being forged.
Founded in 2012 by Jeff Wilson, Disorder Recordings has since released a wide array of records from across the gamut of metal, post-rock, shoegaze, and more, including albums from WOLVHAMMER, CHROME WAVES, PLAGUEWIELDER, HISSING, CONTRITION, LOTUS THRONES, and more, recording and producing a vast amount of the material in-house. Additionally, its Disorder Design Co. has printed countless thousands of shirts and other merch items for an expansive list of clients in music, film, retail, and more. However, the new year will see the biggest expansion in the label’s history, with a hearty release schedule currently being implemented.
Wilson reveals, “Foreshadowing our 10th year in business in 2022, Disorder Recordings, decided to take a huge step in production this year. We started our expansion to tracking, mixing, and mastering for our artists, producing a total of six annual albums on the label in 2021.
On top of this, our screen-printing division, Disorder Design Co., silk screened over 20,000 apparel related items for our bands and various vendors.
Next year, will see a full scale in house recording studio in place, as well as various splits and albums from ATRIARCH, BONES, CHROME WAVES, PLAGUEWIELDER, CONTRITION, DEEPER GRAVES, and more.
We’re aiming to fight the norm here, bringing the creativity back to where it began. An artist’s rights prompted label, fighting to bring ideals back to where they belong, in the hands of the writers.”
With promotion for the second DEEPER GRAVES album already underway, watch for new details on more of the upcoming 2022 Disorder catalog to be issued over the weeks ahead and throughout the new year.
