Ethan Hawke is joining the cast of The Black Phone, Scott Derrickson’s upcoming film for Blumhouse and Universal.
The film is set to start production in North Carolina next month.
Scott Derrickson (Dr. Strange, Sinister) is directing The Black Phone for Blumhouse and Universal. Derrickson and frequent collaborator Robert Cargill (Bermuda, Doctor Strange, Sinister) adapted the script based on Joe Hill’s short story.
Derrickson, Cargill and Jason Blum, for Blumhouse, are producing the film. Universal and Blumhouse will present the Crooked Highway Production. Joe Hill is an executive producer.
Ethan Hawke is represented by CAA, MGMT Entertainment, George Sheanshang and ID Public Relations.
