Sherman Wayze: Do you feel you, as a celebrity, a content creator, and an adult star, do you feel you have to do these types of fan expos? Is it almost like a prerequisite in your job?
Selena Ivy: I would say so, because I don’t feel like I get to express a lot of my personality on social media. In contrast, I feel the most connected when I talk and meet people in person. But I think that may just depend on the type of performer or online personality you are.
Sherman Wayze: Will there be an award in your future?
Selena Ivy: I don’t know. That’s a great question. I hadn’t thought about that. I’m the type of person that I always like to work towards something.
Sherman Wayze: How did you know when you decided to do adult material, was it that you just wanted to have sex with a bunch of cool people?
Selena Ivy: I didn’t join it expecting to make money. Which was so good. And then I didn’t join it expecting to get much attention. I think it was more that I felt like the desire to create something from sex and sexual energy. I believe in the art of sensuality and sex and the art of seduction. I feel like this is a place where I can channel that I love interacting with people, so to have that and create something out of it and then share that with people who enjoy it, that’s really kind of why I started.
Sherman Wayze: How did you get into stripping?
Selena Ivy: I was fresh out of high school. I was always curious about that industry, especially because I saw a Playboy and liked very sexy stuff. Then, playing like GTA, you go to the strip club, and it’s a whole thing. But at the time, while I was decorating cakes, I wanted to be involved in the strip club, not necessarily a stripper or a dancer. So I went to all the places in Atlanta, trying to work as a waitress or someone in the kitchen. And because you have to be 21 in Atlanta to work in the kitchen, all of them would turn me away. But then I finally went to this one place that I asked them, and they were like a five-star restaurant. It was like a lovely establishment, and I went in. I asked them if I could work in the kitchen, and they said no, but you can dance. And that just, I don’t know, it kind of spoke to me, I guess, because it was something I had already really wanted to do. But I was too afraid to ask specifically about that. So when they offered it to me, it was like, oh, okay, this is what I’m here for.
Sherman Wayze: Like adult work, were you doing that for attention or money, or were you just doing it for the art of dancing?
Selena Ivy: I think the expression of it, and the curiosity, of course, like it’s not something that, at least at the time, it wasn’t a popular thing, or it wasn’t talked about. So, I always felt very pressed. So, having that curiosity and being in that environment was just exciting.
Sherman Wayze: How long did you fully understand and get it down?
Selena Ivy: It was $5 to take your top off and then $5 more to take your bottoms off. The club I worked at was very prudish in that you were very limited with what you could do. You couldn’t bend over further than a 90-degree angle if you didn’t have your bottoms.
Sherman Wayze: Did they have the six-foot rule in place for dances?
Selena Ivy: No, you couldn’t be in someone’s lap. But you could sit. Yeah, so they don’t give lap dances. They give table dances. And you dance in front of the guy. He can’t touch you.
Sherman Wayze: Did you enjoy doing lap dances?
Selena Ivy: I went to Sapphire to dance for the Super Bowl, and that was my first introduction to a strip club where you do lap dances. I enjoyed that.
Sherman Wayze: Before you got into dancing, had you seen adult material? Have you seen anything like that? Did you know what it was?
Selena Ivy: Before getting into business, I was worried about the safety aspect of it because you always hear the bad stories, all these horror stories. So that was kind of scary. I didn’t want to be one of another bad story. But I came into the industry in pretty good hands. So I felt good about that. I guess something that I was expecting more of was that, it was more professional and very relaxed, but not careless. So, you know, there are rules and regulations, but I had always expected it to be like, okay, like the standard of making feature films versus just showing up to a set that was, I guess, what we call Gonzo, I didn’t understand how lax that was.
Sherman Wayze: From watching a movie to doing one, what was the difference for you, assuming you had watched any adult before?
Selena Ivy: The difference between watching and doing them is seeing all the technicalities that go into its creation. And that’s not something that if you’re just watching porn and, you know, enjoying yourself with porn, that’s you’re not going to notice those things or understand what goes into them unless someone tells you about it.
Sherman Wayze: Stripping got you into OnlyFans that got you into adult?
Selena Ivy: After many years of research, I finally pulled the trigger, and I reached out to an agent in LA, telling them that I wanted to do porn. So I talked to them for a few months, and then Dwayne Fox came into Pink Pony, wearing Reality Kings merch. So I go up to him and talk to him, I’m like, hey, I noticed your outfit. Is this something that you are involved in? And he starts talking to me about it. And I was asking him more questions because it was something that I wanted to do. He also suggested starting OnlyFans and doing content.
Sherman Wayze: Was it a turn-on for you to have sex with someone you pretty much don’t know, even if you find him attractive?
Selena Ivy: Yeah.
Sherman Wayze: You do the first scene, and it goes well. Do you immediately decide to start shooting more adult material, or do you maybe take some time off and think about it?
Selena Ivy: I wanted more. I still feel that way. If I do a scene, I get, like, I just wanted to know more and more. So it’s good that I would like to take these breaks involuntarily because I think I would be a problem otherwise.
Sherman Wayze: So, is it a good thing that you live in Georgia and are not in Los Angeles all the time? Maybe you don’t get shot out.
Selena Ivy: Yeah, I think that’s been very beneficial to me as far as giving myself the time to slow down and pace myself versus just being there and maybe getting burnt out.
Sherman Wayze: You do a couple of scenes, and now do you want to be a star, or are you really happy dancing at the Pony, and the adult thing is a way for you to have fun sexually?
Selena Ivy: I have fun dancing at the Pony, but I see the adult filming as more of a career. I like the interactions I have dancing with people, but that’s not what I see myself doing as a career.
Sherman Wayze: If you were directing, now, for the sake of discussion, would you direct stuff you think would sell? Or are there dirty thoughts in your mind that you’d like to see in a movie?
Selena Ivy: Both.
Sherman Wayze: And the type of stuff you’d want to shoot?
Selena Ivy: I would like to work on feature films at some point. I think there’s more art direction in the feature films.
Sherman Wayze: Do you like the idea of playing another character in the feature? Do you like the idea of memorizing dialogue?
Selena Ivy: Both. I like building the character and then having sex in character. That’s a lot of fun. It’s like role-playing, except you get to share that with others. And it’s there, and it’s permanent.
Sherman Wayze: How much different are you than Selena? How much of this is an act?
Selena Ivy: I’d say I’m kind of boring, but Selena is not that different because we’re the same person. I think she’s probably a little more outgoing, it’s easier for her to be extroverted. Whereas I’m very laid back.
Sherman Wayze: Are you aware of that when you’re shooting, or does your director tell you?
Selena Ivy: I like working with people, and when you look at their faces, you see that they’re into what they’re doing. I can just step back and let you do your thing. And then there are other times you work with people who you can tell just don’t want to be there.
Sherman Wayze: I don’t see that problem with you.
Selena Ivy: I’m always very excited about going to the set. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad day on set. I’ve always enjoyed being there and then interacting with other performers. That’s part of the excitement for me. When I first started, I was always afraid of how I looked during sex, and I think that was something that I brought in on camera. I had a director tell me that I should open my eyes more, and after he said that, it was like, don’t be shy.
Sherman Wayze: Do you still enjoy as much sex at home, I guess, as you do at work?
Selena Ivy: I’d say so. Like I said, I’m kind of boring in real life. I like to save a lot of my sexual energy for the camera.
Sherman Wayze: Tell me about your OnlyFans.
Selena Ivy: My main one at the moment is OnlyFans. I upload pictures pretty often. I sell customs. I love doing customs. I love doing video calls. Once again, I love that personal connection with people. I have new videos every week.
Sherman Wayze: For a person to have a chance with in hell you, are they tall, short, fat, skinny, what gets you going?
Selena Ivy: I’m not a very picky person. Personality is a big thing for me. I like intelligence. If I can tell that someone is kind and caring as a person, that does it for me sexually.
Sherman Wayze: In the case of bondage, is it a sense of giving up control that turns you or are you a submissive person generally?
Selena Ivy: Hmm, I think being in an environment where it’s safe to be sexually submissive, that’s not something that I can just do with everybody. It has to, there has to be that trust there. So I think doing that, especially on camera, would feel very comfortable and would allow me to explore that maybe further than I would elsewhere.
Sherman Wayze: Are gangbangs a turn-on in that you have many penises satisfying you? Is it a turn-on that you’re the center of attention?
Selena Ivy: There’s an aspect of like, okay, they’re here for me. Being the center of attention, there’s also a degradation aspect to it.
Sherman Wayze: You mentioned you’re submissive with guys but not with girls?
Selena Ivy: I feel like I’m more dominant with guys and more submissive with girls. I don’t know if I’ve ever been dominant with a woman.
Sherman Wayze: Have you ever pegged a guy?
Selena Ivy: Yes.
Sherman Wayze: Your face lit up. Is that something you enjoy doing?
Selena Ivy: Yes.
Sherman Wayze: When you went all the way the first time, did you wait to have sex again, or did you become sexually active right away?
Selena Ivy: I was sexually active right away. It made me want to experience more because I felt like there was more to it, and I wanted to explore that.
Sherman Wayze: And with a boyfriend, or was it somebody from Tinder?
Selena Ivy: It was a boyfriend. We both kind of felt the pressure of losing our virginity. So we wanted to just kind of get it over with, but also, we did like each other.
Sherman Wayze: When you have a man’s cock in your mouth, do you feel a sense of power over him?
Selena Ivy: Yes.
Sherman Wayze: Before getting into adult, had you only had sex with one boy at a time, or had you had sex with multiple people?
Selena Ivy: Before porn, it was always just one, one person at a time up until right before porn.
Sherman Wayze: Have you done a lot of strap-on stuff with women?
Selena Ivy: No, but I want to.
Sherman Wayze: What’s your favorite position?
Selena Ivy: My favorite position? Do you know what prone bone is?
Sherman Wayze: Yes. Do you like him pulling your hair and stuff at that point and pounding you?
Selena Ivy: Yeah. I know that’s more submissive than I had stated, but it depends on the vibe, the situation, and the person.
Sherman Wayze: Do you like having sex in public?
Selena Ivy: Yes.
Sherman Wayze: For the sake of discussion, you’re doing your thing in the back seat of your car with your man, and a cop stops you. Would you have sex with the cop to let you go?
Selena Ivy: Probably.
Sherman Wayze: Do you have fantasies about fucking people in authority positions?
Selena Ivy: I havet. I’ve always wanted to do this, and there are a few different companies that I’ve wanted to work with that shoot realism. Shoplifter was one. There are a few. I want to explore that.
Sherman Wayze: The craziest place you have had sex in public so far?
Selena Ivy: Off camera. It was behind my high school gymnasium. That was one. Two, I don’t know if this counts as public, but one time I gave a boyfriend a blowjob in the backseat of my parents’ car with them driving us somewhere.
Sherman Wayze: How did they not know?
Selena Ivy: They were kind of oblivious. And it was dark out. So there was that.
Sherman Wayze: What else?
Selena Ivy: Another one. It was a scene that I did with Reality Kings. And I was giving J-Mac a blowjob in the front seat of the car. That was probably the most public. And then I recently filmed a scene for Mofos where we played pickleball. There’s a bunch of people on the pickleball court. So that was fun.
Sherman Wayze: Two of your favorite movies are Full Metal Jacket and Fight Club.
Selena Ivy: Yeah. I’ve always liked very male-targeted art. They’re just good movies. I love Tarantino, who’s one of my favorite directors.
Sherman Wayze: Do you like being rimmed?
Selena Ivy: I do. I love it.
Sherman Wayze: What about giving rim jobs?
Selena Ivy: I do, but it’s the same thing. I think I have to know a little bit more about the person. Do they like good hygiene and take care of themselves?
Sherman Wayze: And when you’re not doing silly interviews like this and have time off, what do you like to do?
Selena Ivy: I like to travel. I like to read. I like to watch movies. I love to cook. I’m a big chef in the kitchen.
Sherman Wayze: Cooking, do you have a specialty?
Selena Ivy: I don’t know if I have a specialty. I just like to cook, but I make homemade pasta and a lot of Italian food. Let’s see. I make a lot of Mexican food, Ukrainian and Russian food, and Asian food. I just like to cook. I love it all.
Sherman Wayze: Do you have an agent if people want to book you?
Selena Ivy: Yes, I’m working with ATMLA, book me here: https://atmla.com/performers/female-models/selena-ivy/
Sherman Wayze: Anything you want to say to all of your fans?
Selena Ivy: Thank you for supporting me. I really appreciate it.
