August 27, 2021—Acclaimed singer, songwriter and musician Gregory Alan Isakov will embark on a nationwide U.S. headline tour this fall including stops at Dallas’ Granada Theater, Austin’s Paramount Theatre, Tucson’s Rialto Theatre, two nights at Santa Barbara’s Lobero Theatre and Bend’s Tower Theatre among others. Tickets for the newly confirmed performances are available starting today at noon ET with $1 from each ticket sold going to The Land Institute or the National Independent Talent Organization (NITO). See below for complete tour itinerary.
Prior to the headline tour, Isakov will join Patty Griffin on a series of co-headlining shows in October and, in 2022, is confirmed to join The Lumineers on their European arena tour.
Isakov is a GRAMMY-nominated singer, songwriter and performer, beloved by his devoted community of fans and critics alike. Since his debut, Isakov has released five full-length albums including his most recent, 2019’s Evening Machines, which was nominated for Best Folk Album at the 62nd GRAMMY Awards. Of the album, released in collaboration with Dualtone Music Group and Isakov’s independent label, Suitcase Town Music, NPR Music praised, “Evening Machines showcases his emotionally evocative songwriting style; rich in narrative detail and beautifully contemplative,” while Billboard asserted, “characteristically ruminative…blending a gentle spaciousness with dusky atmospheres and carefully nuanced textures” and Rolling Stone heralded, “beautiful collisions of acoustic instruments, Isakov’s soothing vocals and otherworldly noise.” Most recently, Isakov and The Lumineers covered each other’s songs to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Dualtone Music Group. Listen to Isakov perform “Salt And The Sea” and The Lumineers perform “Caves” here. Moreover, earlier this spring, Isakov released a rare live video performance of his song “She Always Takes it Black” from 2013’s The Weatherman (watch here).
Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, raised in Philadelphia, Isakov now calls Colorado home. When he isn’t on the road, he spends much of his time on his farm in Boulder County, which provides produce to the farm’s CSA members, local restaurants and donates weekly to Community Food Share.
