No Clean Singing today unveils Summer Of ‘69, the debut from Swedish hardcore/thrash quartet HATCHEND, hosting an exclusive stream of the record ahead of its official release this Friday on Selfmadegod Records.

HATCHEND is an unrelenting act containing members of well-known extreme underground death metal and grindcore acts such as Birdflesh, Deranged, Razorrape, Deathening, and more, uniting drummer Rikard Wermén, guitarist, Elis Edin Markskog, bassist Dan Widing, and vocalist Kalle Nimhagen. Without the implementation of gimmicks, makeup, or bullshit stage show, HATCHEND’s straightforward and in-your-face output is custom made for the shackled masses. Living by the slogan, “If it’s too fast, you’re too damn slow,” they are a band who might destroy themselves before ever selling out.

HATCHEND’s Summer Of ‘69 was recorded in two days at HoboRec, with the vocals recorded at Wheelmust Studios by Elis Edin Markskog, the record then mixed and mastered by Ulf Blomberg. The record was completed with cover artwork and layout by Rikard Wermén and Elis Edin Markskog, and photography by Abdul Alhazred. The album’s opening track “Shackled Humanity” features a guest solo by Leon De Muerte (Phobia, Murder Construct, ex-Intronaut).

Drummer Rikard Wermén asks, “Where were you in the Summer of ‘69? You got any proof of that?” He continues, “Our debut album (the album of the year) will finally see the light of day and right here, right now you can check the evidence out yourself. It’s a wild and furious metal packed trip. It’s thrash metal, it’s hardcore, it’s crossover fuck you music, it’s… Whatever fuck you want it to be. Please do have mind, if it’s too fast you’re too damn slow. Not only is the long-awaited album coming out, but we’ll be also making our live debut in our hometown Malmö (that’s in Sweden) the infamous Malmö Massacre festival the 25th. We’ll be doing our very best to whip up a frenzy in that pit. Be there and witness the insanity yourself.”

With their early stream of the damaging album, No Clean Singing reviews the record in detail, the critique reading in part, “…over and over again, another thing that really stands out is that brazen and blaring quality of the riffing. It makes the music sound explosively grand, like one joyous fuck-you after another. And yeah, it really is a violent kind of joy, the joy that comes from uncorking a fury you’re tired of holding back… Summer Of ’69 is a non-stop, hugely cathartic, and criminally addictive thrill-ride, as big an antidote for complacency and boredom as you’re likely to find this Summer (or any other).”

HATCHEND’s rabid Summer Of ’69 can be heard early only at No Clean Singing now at THIS LOCATION.

Summer Of ‘69 will be released on CD and digitally this Friday, August 23rd. Preorders are live at the Selfmadegod Records webshop HERE and Bandcamp HERE, and watch the “Scapegoat” video HERE.

HATCHEND will make their live debut at Malmö Massacre this Sunday, August 25th, with additional live updates expected to be announced shortly.
