PlayStation Plus owners will be able to kick the new year off with a bang, as Sony has announced the first free games for the service. Alongside Greedfall, January 2021 will bring you Square Enix’s Shadow of The Tomb Raider for the PlayStation 4, and Tripwire Interactive’s Maneater for the PlayStation 5!
As was announced back in September, Maneater has been specifically enhanced for the PlayStation 5. This includes ray tracing, native 4K HDR resolution at 60 frames per second, and new lighting effects. We loved the game (despite the shortcomings), and you should definitely check it out next month.
As for Shadow of The Tomb Raider, the final instalment in Lara Croft’s origin trilogy is another great entry in the series, though not as innovative as the previous entries. Still, with a price like “free”, how can you pass it up?
The games will be available to download on January 5, and available to claim until February 5.
