Michael Vegas’ work as a cinematographer and lead gaffer for mainstream thriller The Nanny, a Tubeman Entertainment feature film from writer/ director Brian Reynolds, will be on full display at Hollywood’s world-famous TCL Chinese Theatre as part of the Silicon Beach Film Festival, screening Friday, September 8 at 7:45pm.
The award-winning adult performer and filmmaker, along with partner Siouxsie Q, will be in attendance to promote the suspenseful film about a young woman from Finland (Georgia Gould) who finds herself in the middle of family drama when she takes a job as a caretaker for a couple’s (Adam Lee Kitchen, Angela Sauer) newborn baby.
“This will be the largest theater, not to mention the most prestigious and historic, that The Nanny has been screened in thus far, and we need the help of our fans and community to fill the theater! The Independent Filmmakers Showcase screening at the Regal Cinemas in May was nearly sold out, and we hope to do the same this time around as well,” said Vegas.
The independently produced thriller continues to garner attention and prestige within the 2023 film festival circuit, taking home the award for Best Director at the Brighton Rocks International Film Festival earlier this year, along with over half a dozen other honors at film festivals both in North America and the United Kingdom.
“This was my first crack and making a whole movie from start to finish; it was shot over the course of a month at a remote location in Temecula, and thanks to the amazing work of writer/director Brian Reynolds and his team, we created something truly remarkable.
