Otherworldly duo Zetra unveil “Shatter The Mountain” featuring Kælan Mikla’s Sólveig Matthildu

Debut album out September 13th on Nuclear Blast Records

Story: Ralph Greco, Jr.

As the cult of ZETRA continues to grow, the mystical duo at the center of it all have unveiled their newest offering. This latest glimpse into the world of ZETRA comes in the form of shimmering new single “Shatter The Mountain,” which features the vocal talents of Kælan Mikla’s Sólveig Matthildur. The track is driven by rich synths, moody guitars, and ethereal vocals. It marks the fourth single from the band’s upcoming self-titled debut album, set for release September 13th via Nuclear Blast Records. “Shatter The Mountain” also receives an otherworldly video treatment, directed and edited by Puppy’s Billy Howard Price. You can watch the video HERE and stream Shatter The Mountain” HERE.

ZETRA’s message echoes:

“Join us on a journey into the mind.

Dream of a world.

Become the creator.

The old must be destroyed before the new can arise.

Shatter the mountain. Begin to know.”

Emerging from the blackest corners of the UK underground in 2020, ZETRA is lead by two figures – The Wanderers. Vocals, synthesizer, guitar, and drum-machine encompass lush landscapes through the band’s journey, leading to their self-titled full-length. Metallic bones meet dreamy, droning guitars that hark to heroes like Slowdive and Sonic Youth as well as dark contemporaries Deafheaven and Alcest. The album serves as a roadmap, a dark gospel – unpicking all manner of psychological knots and existential truths.

ZETRA is available for preorder now through Nuclear Blast Records.
