After years of working in animal rescue, Kelly Holland founded The Animal Rescue Alliance in 2011, a 501(c)3 no-kill shelter and sanctuary.
TARA rescues and finds loving homes for abandoned and abused companions and farm animals and offers sanctuary to those who have special needs and can sometimes be more difficult to adopt. Our animals come from various backgrounds, from homeless strays and ferals to rescues from kill shelters and hoarding situations. Wherever they see an animal in need, they are there to help.
Located at Rancho Providencia, a peaceful, four-acre ranch in Chatsworth, CA, TARA is a haven for goats, horses, donkeys, parrots, geese, cats, and dogs. Whether you are interested in adopting a new companion, volunteering to be a friend to a homeless animal at our ranch, or helping with a donation, they welcome you!
