The film debuted in October across most domestic platforms, with upcoming releases in Canada and Latin America in November and Europe wrapping its run by December. Sherman Wayze: Can you tell us about your first film for Hustler?
Mariska: Yes, it’s called “MILF’s Group Sex Fantasy,” featuring Anissa Kate, Cléa Gaultier and Anna Polina. The project came about after about two years of business discussions. I had expressed my desire to grow as a producer, and they allowed me to direct my first film for them. I was very excited about the opportunity.
Sherman Wayze: As a foreign producer working with an American company, were there specific guidelines you must follow?
Mariska: Yes, absolutely. When you produce for another company, there are always rules to follow since it’s their project. They provided clear directions about what they wanted to see and what they didn’t want. They guided the story while allowing me to develop my narrative. Once I understood their vision, I started writing and booking talent.
Sherman Wayze: Can you tell us about the structure of the film?
Mariska: The movie contains four scenes. It includes a group sex scene with one woman and four men, a threesome with two men and one woman, and various other combinations. I wanted to create scenarios that represent common fantasies while maintaining a sensual approach rather than just hardcore content.
Sherman Wayze: Did you develop this concept specifically for Hustler?
Mariska: When creating adult content, you must consider what viewers want to see while staying true to your creative vision. I structured the scenes to include various fantasies – from intimate one-on-one encounters to group scenarios. Each scene was designed to feel natural and enjoyable for the performers while appealing to different audience preferences.
Sherman Wayze: How did you get started in adult films while living in Belgium?
Mariska: When I moved to Belgium, it represented a new life. The mentality was much more open than in Brazil. I started as a photo model, not directly in adult films. The progression was natural – from clothed modeling to lingerie, then nude work, and eventually adult films. This journey helped free me from many taboos, especially from Brazil, where such work is often strongly discouraged.
Sherman Wayze: Did you watch adult films before entering the industry?
Mariska: Never with the thought of being in them myself. Even in the beginning, I struggled with taboos and worried about what people would think. However, I discovered I felt very free in front of the camera. You can express yourself completely. But watching adult films before entering the industry, I never imagined I would become one of those performers.
Sherman Wayze: Tell us about your first professional film experience.
Mariska: My first professional experience was in 2016. Before that, I made more amateur-style films in Belgium. They discovered me through a non-adult film where I had helped a friend by appearing in some scenes—just acting and smiling, with no intimate content. They saw me and contacted me, saying they liked my exotic look and wanted me for their next production in Budapest.
Sherman Wayze: How did it feel shooting your first professional scene?
Mariska: It was quite intense – my first professional scene included anal content, which was challenging for a beginning performer. While I felt comfortable during filming, I would question myself about what I had done afterward. The concerns were mainly about others’ opinions rather than my feelings about the work.
Sherman Wayze: When did you transition into directing and producing?
Mariska: I began directing and producing simultaneously with performing, initially with smaller productions and simpler stories. Since I didn’t understand the technical aspects at first, I worked with an experienced camera operator. I grew as a performer and producer simultaneously, learning each aspect of the business.
Sherman Wayze: How do you approach shooting and editing scenes?
Mariska: I always shoot with editing in mind. Understanding editing makes shooting more efficient because you know exactly what you need. The scenes become shorter and more focused. Learning editing was one of the best decisions I made as a director—it helps you visualize the final product while filming.
Sherman Wayze: What makes a scene work for you as a director?
Mariska: For me, connection is essential. It’s not just about hardcore content and penetration – emotions are very important. I need to feel personally involved in the scene and its performance first. While considering the commercial aspects, I always prioritize creating something that resonates with my artistic vision.
Sherman Wayze: How do you handle the technical aspects of production?
Mariska: I’m quite meticulous about technical details. Even small things like visible electrical outlets in the background bother me. Some people say I’m too perfectionist about these details, but they matter. I prefer a minimalist approach focusing on the performers rather than elaborate shooting settings.
Sherman Wayze: Tell us about your background in production.
Mariska: I went to school to become a certified makeup artist. This came from necessity – finding makeup artists willing to work on adult sets in the early days was difficult. Now, attitudes have changed somewhat, but I decided to learn everything myself to handle all aspects of production from start to finish.
Sherman Wayze: How do you prefer to work with performers?
Mariska: I strongly prefer working with experienced professionals. While I respect newcomers, professionals make the job much easier since they understand the basics. With less experienced performers, you often need to teach fundamental concepts. I’m also very strict about no drugs or alcohol on set – that’s non-negotiable and in all contracts.
Sherman Wayze: How do you balance being both a performer and director?
Mariska: It’s challenging but possible with a good team. I made a brief appearance for the Hustler film since I wanted to focus on directing. Experience in front of and behind the camera helps me understand both perspectives. The key is having a reliable crew you can trust.
Sherman Wayze: What’s your perspective on sex scenes now versus when you started?
Mariska: When filming, it’s impossible to enjoy it 100% like you would in private life. You’re thinking about lights, camera angles, positions – it’s very technical. Anyone who says otherwise isn’t being honest. But in my personal life, I can still enjoy intimacy naturally without thinking about production elements.
Sherman Wayze: How do you view the role of makeup in adult productions?
Mariska: I became a certified makeup artist out of necessity. When I started producing, finding makeup artists willing to work on adult sets was very difficult. While attitudes have changed somewhat now, I decided to learn everything myself back then. This way, I could handle all aspects of production from start to finish.
Sherman Wayze: What has been your experience working in different markets?
Mariska: I haven’t yet shot in America, though I’d like to. I’ve worked with some American performers in Europe. In Belgium, where I’m based, there are several amateur producers, but not many of them do the professional-level production I do. It’s a small country, but there’s still a decent amount of production relative to its size.
Sherman Wayze: How do you view the evolution of the MILF category in adult content?
Mariska: Popularity comes from experience and confidence. When you have more life experience, you can bring more sensuality and skill to performances. You simply can’t have that depth of experience at 20 years old. The authenticity and self-assurance that comes with maturity resonate with viewers.
Sherman Wayze: How do you separate your professional and personal life?
Mariska: They’re very different. When performing, you can’t enjoy things 100% like you would in private life because you’re thinking about technical elements – lights, camera angles, positions. Anyone claiming otherwise isn’t being honest. But in my personal life, I can still enjoy intimacy naturally without thinking about production elements.
Sherman Wayze: What message would you like to share with your fans?
Mariska: I want them to know that I make my films with genuine passion. When I write stories and direct, I think about the viewers’ experience while staying true to my creative vision. I put myself in their place while making content I believe in. I’m grateful for their continued support.
