RISING ARTIST RYANN TO RELEASE NEW EP TRICK CANDLE ON SEPTEMBER 23

NEW SONG “NINETIES” FEATURING CHARLIE HICKEY PREMIERES TODAY
“RYANN gives a masterclass in hazy pop.”
“RYANN’s airy vocals are truly breathtaking, and she’ll most definitely be someone worth keeping your eyes on over the next few years as she adds more enchanting tunes to her genuine discography.”
Trick Candle, the new EP from rising LA-based singer/songwriter RYANN, is set for release on September 23. Predominately written by RYANN, the EP showcases her lofty range as an artist and creator while growing her already fiercely passionate fanbase.
“All of the songs, in their own way, are about losing myself in the idea of a relationship rather than seeing it for what it is,” says RYANN. “The EP as a whole zooms out of each experience to come to the realization that I’ve still never had the love story I’m looking for.”
In conjunction, RYANN’s latest single “Nineties” featuring Phoebe Bridgers’ protégé Charlie Hickey, premieres today. Co-wrote with Hickey, the song includes additional production from Andy Seltzer. Listen to/share the track HERE.
Of the song, RYANN notes, “Charlie and I got on FaceTime in May of 2020, he sat at the piano, I sat with my guitar, and we rambled about the unavoidable challenges that come with long distance relationships until we suddenly had a song. We later met up with Andy Seltzer, who added his production magic and helped bring it to life!”
RYANN’s new music has already begun to receive early praise; V Magazine proclaimed, “RYANN’s sweet, airy vocals and poppy sound make her perfectly poised to become the next big indie-pop girl.”
Born in New York City, RYANN began making a name for herself as a songwriter—on tracks like Tate McRae’s “feel like shit” as well as Noah Cyrus and PJ Harding’s “The Worst of You”—while nurturing her own musical pursuits on the side. RYANN released her debut EP Emotions on Rollerskates last fall while her previously released tracks “Rollerskates,” “One Minute,” “Andrew” and a cover of Post Malone’s “Circles” have seen both critical and commercial success. With only one EP and a few features out, she has already accumulated over 12 million streams, with 3.5 million listeners on Spotify alone. RYANN recently debuted her song “Last Call” in April to early praise.
RYANN’s continued songwriting accolades include her co-write on McRae’s Triple Platinum single “you broke me first,” which has over 1.2 billion streams and counting. Most recently, she co-wrote Cyrus’ new single “Ready to Go” from her upcoming album. RYANN also has forthcoming collaborations with Nessa Barrett, Carlie Hanson, Sadie Jean, and Gayle.
