Story: Ralph Greco, Jr.
Introducing Tabitha Booth (daughter of world-renowned tattoo artist industry pioneer, Paul Booth) and Wax Majestic’s powerful new EP, Highway to the Heart. Wax Majestic is a trio featuring Paula Croxson on flute, Ricky Wells on electric bass, and Angel Lozada on drums. Wax Majestic joining forces with Mint400 Records’ singer-songwriter Tabitha Booth, they’ve crafted a sound that will take your ears on a journey from oblivion straight to the heart.
The EP also features notable session musicians: Rebekah Stickler on violin, Edwin Lopez Villada on organ, and Jacob Hemmerlin, who contributes the majority of the electric guitar.
Highway to the Heart—named after its title track—is a tribute to artistic perseverance amidst a culture of instant gratification and shifting identities. The lyrics explore themes such as PTSD, victimhood, and empowerment, culminating in a poignant cover of Siouxsie and the Banshees’ “Cities in Dust.”
The single, “Highway to the Heart,” was inspired by a transformative experience at a yoga ashram in Colorado in 2016. Now, in 2024, Tabitha Booth and Wax Majestic unveil their collaboration with this evocative, four-track EP, recorded, mixed, and produced by Corey Zack (The Cocoon, Jersey City) and mastered by Ryan Kelly (Garden Sound Studio). |
