B. WalterWill, the author of The Yellow Pinto, is featured in an insightful new Q&A interview with Bold Journey magazine.
In the article, “Meet B. WalterWill”, the first-time author shares with that his resilience stems from the discordant roots of his family, the many challenges his mother faced and the lessons he learned from his father’s battle with addiction. “Ultimately, it is up to us to get off the mat after being knocked down again and again,” he says.
When asked about the most important qualities for success, B. WalterWill focuses on three key points: experiencing joy and the journey, the formula of Sweat plus Sacrifice equals Success, and not being afraid of failure. “If you are early in your journey, try to remember that overcoming uncomfortable experiences or unknown obstacles can be very rewarding.”
He also divulges his hard-won life lessons in The Yellow Pinto, describing the novel as transgressive fiction and dirty realism that explores themes of addiction, complex relationships and the thrill of gambling.
