Story: Ralph Greco, Jr. Today, Baltimore hardcore band Tripper have shared “Salt,” the second single from their debut EP, People Die Every Day, out November 3rd. Combining hardcore with powerviolence and more experimental elements, Tripper draws influence from bands like Converge and Punch, while also fitting right alongside acts like Jivebomb and Gouge Away. On “Salt,” the band deliver with intensity as chunky groove-laden bass tones compliment seething vocals. The lyrics focus on removing yourself from a situation and being content that it will never be resolved how you see it. You can listen to “Salt” HERE and presave People Die Every Day on Bandcamp. People Die Every Day was recorded with Kevin Bernsten (End It, Full of Hell) at Developing Nations, mixed by Matt Redenbo (Jivebomb, Praise) and mastered by James Plotkin. Having formed in 2022 and playing their first show in May 2023, Tripper has already been able to share the stage with notable acts including Loma Prieta, MSPAINT, and Alienator. The band has an EP release show slated for November 4th at Holy Frijoles in Baltimore with support from Ripley Void and Muscle. Tripper is Alex Szydelska (vocals), Bryan Moon (guitar), Austin Reed (bass) and Michael Habif (drums). |

Ralph Greco, Jr. is the devilishly clever nom de plume of professional writer/musician Ralph Greco who lives in the wilds of suburban New Jersey. He is also a podcast co-host, but as everyone has a podcast these days, this fact is of very little consequence.
