This Friday, October 27th, Michigan’s UPON WINGS release a new single, “Distant Memory”, along with a new music video!

“Distant Memory” marks a return to UPON WINGS’ gothic, heavy metal sound. The song features lead vocalist Anne Autumn Erickson’s angelic mezzo-soprano soaring over heavy guitars from Kevin Jardine and pummeling rhythms from Kyng drummer Pepe Clarke Magaña. The song also features a raging guitar solo from Lita Ford guitarist Patrick Kennison.

“This track came together with so many talented musicians, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out,” Erickson exclaimed. “I loved getting back to UPON WINGS’ gothic roots, and it’s the perfect vibe for the fall and winter months.”

“Distant Memory” follows two other UPON WINGS singles that dropped earlier this year: “Deal Breaker” and “Bad Habit”. Those songs featured a dark trap-pop vibe and really showed off the band’s versatility. Moreover, last fall, UPON WINGS released their ‘Last Love’ EP via Sword of the Spirit Records. The EP featured guest vocals from Ralf Scheepers of Primal Fear and Gamma Ray, guest guitars from Max Georgiev of Falling in Reverse and mastering by Grammy Award-winning producer, Glenn Brown

In November, Erickson will release a solo Christmas single. The song, “Christmas with You”, is an original holiday song, packed with cheer. This will be a solo single released on her Anne Autumn Erickson streaming / download platforms and will arrive on Nov. 17th.
