‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ Featurette Reveals New Footage and Celebrates Keeping Franchise in the Family

Sony Pictures released an extremely lengthy look behind the scenes of the filming of Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which celebrates the passing of the Proton Pack from one generation to the next.

While we do get a taste of new footage, it’s mostly a sentimental look at director Jason Reitman and his relationship with father and producer Ivan Reitman. The two reminisce about the franchise and look back as far as the first Ghostbusters where it’s revealed that Jason and his mother were both cut out of the film.

It’s all about drawing a parallel between the family dynamic in Ghostbusters: Afterlife and the real-life Reitman family. It’s a very potent featurette that I think fans will enjoy.

Jason Reitman‘s Ghostbusters: Afterlife, a sequel to the original classic(s), is currently set for theatrical release on November 11, 2021,
