Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol Trailer Introduces a Young Robert Langdon

Peacock has released the official trailer for their upcoming series adaptation of Dan Brown’s bestselling novel The Lost Symbol, which will center around the origins of Robert Langdon, a character previously portrayed by Oscar winner Tom Hanks in the Da Vinci Code film trilogy. The video introduces us to the young version of Langdon, which is being played by Ashley Zukerman, who is a college professor lecturing his students about symbols used throughout history. It also features the titular symbologist as he gets involved in a kidnapping case in which he must locate an ancient portal hidden within the Capitol in order to save his mentor’s life.

Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol is based on the third novel in Brown’s Da Vinci Code series which acts as a prequel to the events of the film franchise starring Hanks in the central role and helmed by Ron Howard. The series will tell the early adventures of Harvard symbologist Langdon as he must solve a series of deadly puzzles to save his kidnapped mentor and thwart a chilling global conspiracy.

Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol is written and executive produced by Scream: The TV Series duo Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie. Executive producers are Brown, Brian Grazer, Howard, Samie Kim Falvey, and Anna Culp and produced by CBS Studios, Imagine Television Studios, and Universal Television. The project was first set up at NBC but was instead picked up by Peacock last March.
