February 4, 2022—Longtime friends and first-time collaborators Dillon Francis and Yung Gravy unveil a new joint EP, Cake and Cognac, today on Imperial—listen here.
The EP comes in the midst of Francis’ and Yung Gravy’s Sugar, Spice and Everything Ice tour with stops in New York, Washington D.C., Austin, Nashville and more. Check out the remaining dates below and purchase tickets here.
On the project, Yung Gravy’s breezy and often hilarious flows take center stage over Francis’s instantly recognizable, yet unpredictable production. Together, they immediately heat up the lead single “Hot Tub” [feat. T-Pain] as the MCs drop one quotable line after another.
It continues an unbelievable winning streak for Yung Gravy. In addition to averaging over 4.4 million monthly listeners on Spotify, he has raked in billions of streams, asserting himself as a consistent force in hip-hop. Following 2020’s Gasanova and Baby Gravy 2 (Imperial) with bbno$, he kept the momentum going last year with the Gravy Train Down Memory Lane: Side B EP and fan favorite singles such as “Steppin On The Beat” [feat. TrippyThaKid]. Making for the biggest full circle moment, the subject of one of his most provocative bangers Martha Stewart enlisted him to appear in a recent commercial for her frozen food line.
Last year, Francis released his house LP Happy Machine including hits “Unconditional” with 220 KID and Bryn Christopher, “Love Me Better” with Shift K3Y and Marc E. Bassy—which reached #1 on Billboard’s Dance/Mix Show Airplay Chart—and “Reaching Out” featuring Bow Anderson. Made in the midst of the pandemic, Happy Machine is the happiest music of Francis’ career and his most collaborative, featuring contributions from a host of notable songwriters including Jenna Andrews, MNEK, Teddy Geiger, Sarah and more.

Dillon’s 2014 major label debut, Money Sucks, Friends Rule, was released to widespread critical acclaim, with its 2015 follow-up This Mixtape Is Fire reaching #1 on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums Chart. In 2018, Dillon released his second LP, WUT WUT, a Spanish-language album featuring some of the biggest names in Latin music; and a scripted comedy series, “Like and Subscribe,” in partnership with Funny or Die. The following year, Francis hit the road with sold out shows across the U.S., a massive performance at Coachella—where he first treated fans to a sneak preview of music from his critically acclaimed 2019 mixtape Magic Is Real, the fourth consecutive year of his residency at the Wynn Las Vegas and the release of the second collection of his Gerald clothing line with Australian label Barney Cools. In 2020, Francis presented his three-day IDGAFOS Weekend livestream featuring sets from over 20 artists including himself, Diplo, Sofi Tukker, Aluna, Flosstradamus and more and released “Places” with Drove, “Be Somebody,” “You Do You” and more. The following year, he shared his Very Important Music EP via Mad Decent, a five-track collection of VIP remixes of his own tracks from throughout his career, including collaborations with Kygo, BabyJake, Lao Ra, Evie Irie and Yung Pinch.
You’ve never heard a rapper liken himself to Martha Stewart, boast about partying with his mother, or discuss the latest day trading strategies. Then again, the game has never seen anyone quite like Yung Gravy. Shades on, gold chains dangling, and pearly whites shining, the Minnesota-born MC has unassumingly bloomed into a phenomenon with billions of streams, platinum plaques, sold out tours, and no shortage of style, substance and swagger. After a string of independent releases, he sank his teeth into stardom on the 2018 Snow Cougar EP. It touted not one, but two platinum hits: “Mr. Clean” and “1 Thot 2 Thot Red Thot Blue Thot.” In between selling out a pair of headline tours, he unleashed his full-length debut, Sensational, during 2019. He maintained this momentum on 2020’s Baby Gravy 2 with partner-in-crime bbno$ (pronounced “baby no money) and his second full-length album, Gasanova powered by the smash “oops.” Not to mention, the single “Martha Stewart” popped off on TikTok and soundtracked an episode of MTV Cribs and a national commercial for Martha Stewart’s frozen food line (he even personally made a cameo!). Kicking off the next era of Gravy, he’s co-headlining a massive tour with Dillon Francis and they recently teamed up for Cake & Cognac EP, highlighted by “Hot Tub” [feat. T-Pain].
