James Bartholet Guests on Sapphire’s Earplay

LOS ANGELES — Entertainment veteran James Bartholet joins host Mehgan Sapphire for “Lights! Camera! Bartholet!,” a new episode of Sapphire’s Earplay now available through Apple Podcasts and other podcast providers.

The conversation moves across Bartholet’s decades in adult entertainment, radio, mainstream film, documentaries and horror, with the actor and producer looking back on how the business has changed and what he has learned along the way.

“James Bartholet and I had a great conversation on horror, the adult industry legends, and why storytelling still wins,” says Mehgan Sapphire. “James shares hard-earned lessons from decades in adult and mainstream entertainment, along with behind-the-scenes stories from Scissors Chapter 2, Fans Only 2 and his horror projects.”

“I loved my appearance on Sapphire’s Earplay, Mehgan is a master of conversation, and we covered a lot of ground,” says James. “My fans should catch this one, it was a real joy.”

The podcast appearance arrives as Bartholet prepares for another horror-focused engagement. He is scheduled to appear at Nightmare in Vegas 2 on Saturday, October 11, and Sunday, October 12, at the Silverton Casino in Las Vegas.

“I am so excited to be a part of this fun horror event in Sin City, after doing movies like The Hitchhiker Massacre, The Murder Motel and the Scissors franchise I thought it was high time I meet and greet the fans who know and love me,” says James. “And I plan on doing a lot more of these types of appearances in the new year so stay tuned!”

Bartholet has worked in entertainment for more than four decades as an actor, radio host and film producer. He hosts the long-running television and radio program Inside the Industry, now in its 20th season, operates a 24/7 Roku channel under the same name, and has been heard through iHeartRadio, Apple and Google podcasts after previously hosting on SiriusXM.

Now retired from the adult industry and working full time in mainstream entertainment, Bartholet has starred in and produced horror projects including Hitchhiker Massacre, The Lady Mummy, Scissors and the recently wrapped Scissors Chapter 2. He also appears in Fans Only and Fans Only 2, the latter of which recently premiered in Piccadilly Circus in London, and he is a producer of the documentary.
