METAL GODS JUDAS PRIEST ANNOUNCE NEW STUDIO ALBUM INVINCIBLE SHIELD FROM POWER TRIP STAGE

Story: Ralph Greco, Jr.

You can never count a vintage metal band out.

If you didn’t hear about it (and being in NJ it is possible you didn’t) the Power Trip Festival in California went down a storm. Bands like AC/DC (who haven’t hit stages with singer Brian Johnson in quite a while) Guns & Roses, Metallica and Iron Maien and Judas Priest brought the heavy to the concert stage in their individual spectauclar ways. And it was Priest who announced, during their set, that their new studio album Invincible Shield, will be released on March 8, 2024, via Epic Records. “Panic Attack,” the first single from the album, will be released this Friday, October 13, 2023.

The album is now available to pre-order here.

If you have been living under a rock for the past half-century, let me remind you that, Judas Priest have sold over 50 million albums worldwide and headlined the world’s biggest stadiums.  With some sure personnel changes, still 2022 saw Priest inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and complete a sold-out rescheduled world tour in support of their 50th Anniversary.

With the release of the upcoming Invincible Shield, and the band powering through performances like they just delivered at Power Trip, there seems to be no stopping Judas Priest.
And there really isn’t.

Ralph Greco, Jr. is the devilishly clever nom de plume of professional writer/musician Ralph Greco who lives in the wilds of suburban New Jersey. He is also a podcast co-host, but as everyone has a podcast these days, this fact is of very little consequence.
