Kayden Kross Opens Free Deeper Retrospective at Wonzimer Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, CA — Kayden Kross, the founder of Vixen Media Group’s Deeper, is bringing nearly a decade of the studio’s photography to Wonzimer Gallery in Los Angeles for a free public exhibition on October 16 and 17.

The multiroom show features images by Daren Cornell, who has photographed Deeper since its 2018 founding, and offers a gallery setting for work previously associated with the studio’s productions.

The exhibition launches Gasplighting, Kross’s multidisciplinary cultural project exploring the gap between people’s lived experiences of intimacy and the expectations they absorb from society.

The project examines messages surrounding bodies, sexuality, pleasure, vulnerability, personal autonomy and connection, and asks visitors to reconsider inherited assumptions.

“Much of what people believe about intimacy isn’t based on their own experiences, it’s inherited through culture and expectation,” said Kayden Kross. “This project asks what happens when we stop outsourcing our understanding of ourselves and begin trusting our own lived experiences instead.”

Both gallery evenings run from 6 to 10 p.m. PDT, on Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17, with panel conversations scheduled for 7:30 p.m. each night.

Kross and Cornell will participate in the panels alongside special guests. Although admission is free, visitors must RSVP for their chosen evening through gasplighting.com.
