Marica Hase Reflects on 26 Years in Front of the Camera for Daily Sport UK -

LOS ANGELES — Marica Hase is taking stock of an international career that began with an unexpected fashion-magazine cover and eventually carried her from Japan’s adult industry to the United States. Hase says the spark arrived shortly after she graduated from school, when landing a magazine cover revealed how naturally she connected with the camera. The discovery was especially striking because the confidence she found during a shoot did not resemble the reserve she felt in ordinary life.

“At the time, I was very shy, but I felt much more comfortable in front of the camera than I did away from it,” Hase said. “So I decided, ‘No matter what, I want to live my life in front of the camera.’ And now, I’ve ended up working as an international.”

After early work in Japanese television, film and magazine modeling, she moved into adult entertainment, won the SOD Create Cinderella Audition and became an exclusive performer while continuing mainstream work. She later worked exclusively for EROTICA and expanded internationally across the United States, Europe and Asia, earning awards, live appearances, voice work and Hall of Fame recognition.
