MORTUOUS released their critically lauded Through Wilderness debut in 2018 through a joint partnership between Carbonized Records and Tankcrimes Records in North America and Dawnbreed and Extremely Rotten Productions in Europe. The record boasted eight tracks of relentless doom and death with nods to My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost, Rottrevore, and Disembowelment. Later that year, the band unveiled a split 7″ with Oakland’s Scolex which made its debut at Kill-Town Death Fest VI: The Resurrection. In 2019, MORTUOUS released Lamenting Reflections, a split EP featuring now-defunct New Jersey death metalists Deform, on limited edition vinyl. The EP was dedicated to former Deform guitarist/vocalist Tim Ninerell, who took his own life in 2016. The release was followed by performances at a variety of festivals including Eternal Warfare, California Deathfest, Kill-Town Death Fest VII, and Decibel Metal And Beer Fest: Los Angeles. In 2020, the band release their long out-of-print Among The Lost and Mors Immortalis demos on CD via a joint partnership between Carbonized Records in the United States and Triumvirate Of Evil in Colombia. In December 2021, MORTUOUS recorded their second full-length album which is scheduled to be released in mid-late 2022.
