Pumpkin Brings Fans Out in Force for Successful Knoxville Appearance at Mouse’s Ear

Fan support turns controversy into celebration as Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird joins Bunny Luv for a packed, high-energy event

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.  – What began as a controversial cancellation ended with an undeniable show of support as fans turned out for Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird’s special appearance at Mouse’s Ear Knoxville on Friday, July 11.

Best known for appearing alongside her sister, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, and their mother, Mama June Shannon, Pumpkin was originally scheduled to appear at Fanboy Expo before organizers canceled her participation. Rather than allowing the cancellation to define the weekend, Pumpkin moved forward and connected directly with the people who wanted to see her.

The result was a successful, energetic event filled with laughter, photographs, fan interactions and overwhelming support.

“The weekend proved that fans decide what matters—not gatekeepers,” said Mike Dickinson, regional manager Pony Clubs. “People showed up because they genuinely support Pumpkin. They wanted to meet her, celebrate her and let her know that she was welcome in Knoxville.”

Pumpkin has built a loyal following through her years on reality television and her unapologetic approach to body positivity, sex positivity, motherhood and personal authenticity. Fans traveled to Mouse’s Ear for the opportunity to meet her in an environment that embraced both her public platform and her right to earn a living without judgment.

The event also featured entertainer Bunny Luv, who delivered a standout performance and helped keep the celebration going throughout the night.

“What happened at Mouse’s Ear was bigger than one appearance,” Dickinson said. “It showed that you cannot shame people for working legal jobs and then expect the public to blindly support that decision. Pumpkin was treated with respect, the fans had an incredible time and the entire night was a success.”

Dickinson also thanked the Mouse’s Ear Knoxville staff, Bunny Luv and the fans who helped transform the evening into a positive response to the controversy.
