Stolen Nova unveils Marlon Magnee remix of “Vortex”

Stolen Nova, the debut solo project from Josh Landau, unveils the remix of its first single “Vortex” by Marlon Magnee, one half of the acclaimed French group La Femme—listen here.
“I met Marlon in the streets of Paris at a protest,” says Laundau. “There was tear gas and riot cops and bottles flying through the air. After that we took the metro across town and got Vietnamese food. For the next week while I was in Paris we went out to parties and went dancing with a big group of friends, did what you do in Paris when you’re not escaping tear gas. I had been a fan of La Femme for a while – I love their style and sound. With my first Stolen Nova single ‘Vortex,’ I thought he might be the perfect person to put a different spin on it. And he was.”
Also the frontman of the acclaimed L.A. rock band The Shrine, Landau grew up on the westside of Los Angeles; a Santa Monica High School student obsessed with Hendrix, Prince, Black Flag and Sabbath. His upbringing revolved around the Dogtown and Z-Boys lifestyle of the neighborhood; surfing Venice Beach and skateboarding in the empty swimming pools of Beverly Hills.
