Studio Vanniall Welcomes Cailey Katts in Halloween Cosplay Vertical

LOS ANGELES — Studio Vanniall has introduced Cailey Katts to its lineup in a new Halloween cosplay vertical with Ashley Lake. Filmed during EXXXOTICA New Jersey, the release marks the first time the studio has used a vertical production to debut a featured performer.

Katts appears in an Evangelion Unit-02-inspired outfit as a roommate eager to demonstrate a supposed “Halo 2 mod.” The scripted misunderstanding turns into a flirtatious encounter, with a final joke concerning an overdue rent payment.

The shoot combines planned characters and lighting with a deliberate phone-video presentation, designed to keep the energy associated with creator-made vertical clips while retaining the production’s scripted structure.

“We knew when we launched the studio that fans want a sense of authenticity alongside plot, and vertical videos are one of the best ways to deliver it,” said Lake. “Working with Cailey was a blast, she’s a master of the first take and that initial improv energy really helps the work feel organic and sharp.”

Lake also explained the choice of format: “Our studio firmly believes craft is about picking the right medium for the story and for the experience that will be most impactful for the fan. Sometimes that means shooting on a phone and not our cinema camera – you couldn’t make the Blair Witch Project on an IMAX camera. For us, this is a perfect blending of our experience as indie creators and our love of production.”

The collaboration was arranged as paid-trade content and will be offered through the studio’s paysite and DVD channels as well as directly by Katts. Studio Vanniall says it offers paid bookings, trade work and tailored content-rights agreements.

Founded in 2026 by performer and creator Vanniall, the studio is casting for future productions in several U.S. and European cities. Its founder also works in modeling, directing, podcasting and advocacy, and operates Monstergirl Studio in Western Massachusetts.
