Vanniall Portrait Selected for London Body Movements Festival Exhibition

LOS ANGELES — A portrait of Vanniall by New York photographer Michael Andre was selected for an art exhibition at London’s Body Movements Festival, joining 15 other works displayed during the August 30 event at Southwark Park.

Curated by The Queer Archive, the presentation placed artworks across the festival grounds rather than inside a conventional gallery, allowing visitors to encounter the exhibition as part of the celebration.

Andre made the portrait in Brooklyn in 2022 using a 50-year-old medium-format film camera, choosing a spare visual approach that focused attention on Vanniall.

“I distinctly remember that shoot because it was my first time meeting Vanniall, and she was pure joy to work with,” said Andre. “We took a small series of simple, raw portraits on a 50-year-old medium-format film camera. In this image, I wanted to capture her naturally, in a quiet, introspective and somewhat vulnerable mood. It remains one of my favorite portraits to date.”

For Vanniall, the selection brought a personal image into a new setting devoted to queer and trans art and culture.

“I love that this portrait found its way into a completely different setting years after we made it,” said Vanniall. “Michael captured something very simple and personal that day, so seeing that image become part of a larger celebration of queer art and culture feels really special. I’ve been producing a lot in London, so it’s great to feel involved in the local art scene.”

Vanniall founded Studio Vanniall in 2026, a production company and subscription site booking professional talent through agents for work in Miami, Los Angeles, New York City, Western Massachusetts, Minneapolis, Amsterdam and London.

An award-winning trans performer, model, director and creator originally from South Carolina, Vanniall has worked as a studio performer since 2019 after earlier online creative work. Her magazine appearances include Petite Mort and the August 2026 cover of DIRTY.

Her accolades include recognition from the XMA, Pornhub, XBIZ Cam and Trans Erotica Awards, along with other industry nominations and honors. She has also presented at industry ceremonies and conducted red-carpet interviews.

Vanniall has screened projects internationally, appeared on Out TV’s X-Rated NYC and Hot Haus, and hosts Chaturbate’s Sex Tales podcast as well as OFTV and YouTube programming through Vanniall.TV.

Her advocacy and commentary focus on trans rights, sex-worker rights and wellness. In addition to Studio Vanniall, she operates Monstergirl Studio, a Western Massachusetts production retreat and rental destination for trans, queer and adult creators.
