Story: Ralph Greco, Jr.

Otherworldly alt. duo ZETRA have emerged from the shadows once more with whisper of their highly anticipated, self-titled debut album, that will be released on September 13th via Nuclear Blast Records. Ten tracks whose indefinable blend of shimmering shoegaze and pulsating goth-metal work deep beneath the skin, it is a masterclass in intimate dark romanticism and sweeping elemental beauty. Today the band bestow their new single “Starfall” featuring guest vocals from Serena Cherry of Svalbard. The track’s celestial glow comes through in a transcendent video directed by Sam O’Leary. You can watch the video HERE and stream the track HERE.

Zetra divulge:

“The sky illuminates as the meteors begin their cataclysmic descent through the firmament.
Starfall.
The second chapter of our realisation emerges. The unveiling of our Opus 1, ‘Zetra’ continues.
Starfall.
We are united on this journey with the supernatural force that is Serena Cherry of Svalbard.
Begin to know.”

Emerging from the blackest corners of the UK underground in 2020, ZETRA is lead by two figures – The Wanderers. Vocals, synthesizer, guitar, and drum-machine encompass lush landscapes through the band’s journey, leading to their self-titled full-length. Metallic bones meet dreamy, droning guitars that hark to heroes like Slowdive and Sonic Youth as well as dark contemporaries Deafheaven and Alcest. The album serves as a roadmap, a dark gospel – unpicking all manner of psychological knots and existential truths.

ZETRA is available for preorder now through Nuclear Blast Records.
