FYC 27: Blake Lovely Reflects on TEA Award Win and a New Year of Films

CHICAGO — FYC 27: For Your Consideration turns to Blake Lovely for a look back at a year that began with her film winning Best DVD at the TEA Awards and continued with creator-led projects, collaborations and new films moving toward release.

Lovely appeared in every scene of the award-winning project and says the recognition, which followed numerous nominations, changed how people viewed her work. “I feel like people took me seriously after that,” she tells EMMReport.

She connects that achievement to the first major scene she landed after repeated rejection, the music career that taught her how to connect with an audience, and the friends and collaborators who helped bring the feature together. “It took a village,” she says of the film.

In the FYC 27 profile, Lovely also discusses a summer centered on friends, the demands of remaining visible to subscribers around the clock and the creator-funded projects she hopes can expand opportunities for trans performers.

Lovely says she helped produce and appeared in Bakari’s Grooby feature “Transsexual Horror Stories,” which she said was scheduled for October 15. “I am trying to push our genre forward,” she says.

The profile also examines her perspective on pressure facing studio work, the benefits and costs of subscription platforms, and the films, collaborations and studio opportunities she wants to pursue next. The complete feature is available now at EMMReport.

Lovely entered the industry in early 2024 and made her media debut with Transsensual in “TS Cheaters 6.” Her credits have since included GenderX Films, Evil Angel, Grooby, TS Virtual Lovers and TransAngels, and she is signed with Nexxxt Level Talent for studio bookings.

Her recent awards run includes multiple 2025 nominations and four XMA plus four AVN nominations in 2026, marking what the supplied profile describes as her most successful year to date.
