Alana Rey Named Next Lead for Stripchat and Holly Randall Agency’s CAM GIRL -

MEDELLÍN, COLOMBIA — Alana Rey is stepping beyond the familiar boundaries of her cam room for her first film-set experience, taking a newly announced lead role in CAM GIRL, the upcoming original production from Stripchat and the Holly Randall Agency directed by Jeffrey John Hart.

Rey began camming eight years ago after growing up in the favelas of Medellín, and the production is grounding her screen debut in that personal history. The crew traveled to Colombia to film in her hometown, bringing the movie directly into the environment that shaped her life before the project.

That chapter nearly disappeared when Rey began reconsidering whether she wanted to participate. Hart said the production was paused while the decision remained unresolved, and he traveled to Colombia two months before filming was scheduled to begin to explain why her involvement was essential. “At one point the entire film was put on hold because Alana was having second thoughts about doing the movie,” said Hart. “Two months before we were slated to start, I sat down with her in Colombia and told her that if she didn’t do the movie, I’m not doing the movie. This is how important she was to the film. Alana’s story is critical to this movie and it sets the tone for the rest of the film.”

Rey ultimately committed to the production and came away describing the experience with clear enthusiasm. “This was one of the best experiences of my life and I can’t wait for everyone to see the movie,” said Alana.

Her announcement continues the rollout for CAM GIRL, with additional cast members expected to be revealed in the coming days. The project positions Rey’s transition from livestreaming to a narrative film set as a central part of the movie rather than a simple casting detail.
