The August 15 backyard-style celebration brings stars, barbecue, dancing and a Soul Train-inspired line to a private Los Angeles location before Sunday’s Urban X Awards.
Urban X Weekend is setting aside the red carpet for a few hours and leaning into something warmer, looser and considerably more backyard-family-reunion. James Bartholet will host the Urban X Day Party on Saturday, August 15, bringing a deep lineup of adult-industry personalities together at a private Los Angeles-area location before the Urban X Awards take over Sunday night.
The party runs from 4 to 10 p.m. and is being promoted by Urban X as its Family Reunion Backyard BBQ Pool Party. Music, dancing, games, contests, food, drinks and vendors are all part of the plan, along with a special old-school, Soul Train-themed line dance. The location is being kept private, with attendees directed to a designated parking area before being shuttled to the event.
“I’m very happy and excited to be hosting this very special party for our Urban X Awards Weekend,” Bartholet said. “We’re going to have a lot of fun, as we always do at our parties before the awards. We’re celebrating our industry and unity, so please come and join us.”
Bartholet will have plenty of company on hosting duties. The announced group includes Misty Stone, Jezabel Vessir, Scarlett Bloom, Harley Dean, Priya Rai, Sandra Luberc, Cali Caliente, Summer Col and Sarah Lace, with the possibility of additional guests arriving throughout the afternoon and evening. Urban X’s ticket page currently promotes an even larger rotating host lineup, making the party feel less like a single-host event and more like an industry roll call with a pool nearby.
The dress code is deliberately relaxed. “Picture a cool backyard pool party with your XXX family,” Bartholet said, while advising ticket holders to arrive shortly before 4 p.m. because previous parties have filled quickly. With the venue undisclosed and shuttle access required, checking ticket instructions before leaving is more useful than trying to outsmart the GPS.
The day party is also a natural fit for Bartholet, whose career has long crossed between adult entertainment, broadcasting and independent film. He hosts Inside the Industry, operates an Inside the Industry Roku channel and continues to produce mainstream horror projects. His latest producing work includes Scissors: Chapter 2, the follow-up to the slasher film Scissors, which recently completed production according to the supplied announcement.
Urban X Weekend continues Sunday, August 16, with the Urban X Awards in Los Angeles, hosted by Ivan and Chocolate Goddess. The weekend is built around celebrating diversity, representation and what organizers call “Xxxcellence” across adult entertainment—making Saturday’s day party both a pre-awards warmup and a celebration in its own right.
